Join the DK Crew in the race for victory! Now that Donkey Kong and his pals have discovered powerful barrel rockets, the fight to rule the jungle has officially begun.
How to advance in the game:
- Grand Prix: Compete alone in 12 cups with various courses and levels of difficulty.
- Choose your course and attempt a new record in the time trial. Even the finest times of players can be preserved as ghost data.
- Practice: Race around any track without regard to deadlines or competing racers.
- Candy’s Challenges: Assist Candy KongTM by taking on 32 different challenges, such as collecting 1,000 bananas, finishing a course in a specified amount of time, or maintaining a lead throughout the entire game.
- Cranky KongTM himself will teach you how to play at Cranky’s Flight School.
- Multiplayer: In a fast-paced free-for-all, players compete against up to three pals as they bash, smash, and rocket their way to victory. Players can simply decide to play the other modes with more people; multiplayer is not a distinct mode.
Characters include King K. Rool, Kludge, Kalypso, Kip, and Kass in addition to Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Lanky Kong, Tiny Kong, Funky KongTM, Wrinkly Kong, and Cranky Kong.
Special attributes, abilities, or weapons:
- Wild Moves: There are bananas all over the place. By pressing down on the control stick and then releasing it, players who have 50 of them in their possession can perform a Wild Move. Wild Moves allow racers to move forward for a brief period of time at an amazing rate of speed while also allowing them to run over most obstacles, opponents, and other racers. The lifespan of a player’s wild move can be extended by a skilled player by hitting multiple targets in a combo.
- Players will be launched high over the course if they fly into a red Style Barrel. A Wii Remote animation will come on-screen when the player is in the air and instruct them to shake the controller in a specific direction. When players complete this correctly, the rider will pose and receive a banana shower!
- Players get access to 15 bizarre things, ranging from offensive tools like Backward Barrels and Pineapple Launchers to practical power-ups like Banana Fairies and Crystal Coconuts. Utilizing resources wisely can change the course of a race.
