The world was shattered as a result of the happenings of the first game, and it was up to Angelus, the Red Dragon, to fix the broken magical seals and put a stop to the end of the world. In the eighteen years that have passed since then, the Union has established its dominance over the land and has captured as prisoners the former soldiers who served in the troops of the Empire. The young priestess Mannah has matured and now lives in the company of the other people who are being held captive. Within the Union troops, a group known as the Knights of the Seal were organized with the purpose of ensuring the safety of the magical seals. General Oror of the Knights was leading an expedition into the wilderness when he came across a young kid named Nowe who was being looked after by the Blue Dragon, Legna, and was able to communicate with her. Oror made the decision to adopt the young child and nurture him as his own, so he brought Nowe and Legna back to the Union with him. Nowe was given the title “The Savior” by the head of the Hierach, Seere, once he realized Nowe’s ability. Nowe, who was raised among the knights, eventually developed the ambition to join their order. Nowe, who has been preparing for this moment for a long time, has finally reached the point where he may join the Knights of the Seal officially…

Similar to the original game, Drakengard 2 is an action role-playing game played from the third-person perspective. On his journey, the player assumes control not only of Nowe but also of the other characters that accompany him along the route. The gameplay can be broken down into two distinct categories: ground combat and aerial combat. Nowe engages in Aerial Combat by riding a dragon against a variety of aerial adversaries who breathe fireballs (strong single shots and weaker multiple lock-on shots). The Dragon is nimble and can easily sidestep danger by whirling around in a blink of an eye to facing the opposite direction. In Ground combat, the game is played from a third-person perspective while taking place in typically expansive open settings. When you take control of Nowe, his major power is the ability to employ a wide selection of weapons that are scattered over the battlefield. Because a single character is the only one who can wield a particular sort of weapon, switching to a different category of weapons will cause Nowe’s playable character to be replaced by one of the other members of his party. Through consistent use, and more particularly, through the defeat of specific foes, these weapons can advance in level, unlocking new combos and gaining access to more potent spells in the process. During the battle, it is possible to find and make use of a variety of accessories and objects, including those that replenish health and magic. Nowe is able to gain experience by vanquishing foes and using magic (the type of which is dictated by the weapon she uses), timing her attacks, and dodging. When defeated, foes leave behind trinkets and gold, but players can only obtain weapons from the treasure chests they open. Nowe has the ability to summon forth his Dragon while engaged in ground combat, allowing him to ride it and strafe enemies from above. In general, the Dragon’s motions are the same as those used in aerial combat; however, they are more restricted and less agile.

Your progression in the game is depicted on the map of the world. Levels that have already been completed may be converted into “Expedition Missions,” which are playable at the player’s discretion and feature fresh goals, opponents, and weapons. In addition, it is possible to return to any prior level in the storyline at any moment and play through it again. In addition, communities will come into existence, each of which will offer weapons and stuff in exchange for gold coins.
