Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection delivers two venerable anime fighting games to the PlayStation 3 for the first time in a fantastic bundle with improved and remastered HD visuals and full Trophy support. Nobody who like the series should miss it.
Let’s get to the point quickly: Budokai 3 entirely supersedes Dragon Ball Z Budokai, making the second half of this collection essentially useless. If anything, Budokai can only be used as an introduction to the series’ fundamental gameplay principles. Even so, Budokai 3 has a fantastic training mode by itself. After starting Budokai 3, if you find yourself devoted to playing Budokai, whether it’s for the story mode or the relatively simple Trophies, it’s likely that you won’t play it again.
