Ninja Theory’s Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is an action-adventure platform video game published by Namco Bandai Games. It was released in North America, Australia, Japan, and Europe on October 5, October 7, and October 8, 2010, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, respectively. [1] [2] On October 25, 2013, a premium edition with all DLC material was published for Microsoft Windows and Sony Playstation 3.

The plot is a reimagining of Wu Cheng’en’s work Journey to the West. Unlike the original plot, which was set in a fanciful version of ancient China, the game is set 150 years in the future after a worldwide war, with only fragments of humanity remaining, along with the still operating war machines left over from the conflict. Like the original myth, the plot centers around someone who forces assistance and protection, with numerous characters sharing the same names and roles. Alex Garland wrote the game’s scenario, and Andy Serkis and Lindsey Shaw provided voice talent and motion capture.
