Hellboy: The Science of Evil is a computer game based on Guillermo del Toro’s 2004 film Hellboy, which is based on the comic book character of the same name. It was published on June 24, 2008, in North America for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PlayStation Portable, followed by an August 15 release in Europe and an August 28 release in Australia. [1] All versions follow the same plot, but the PSP version differs from the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

There are four playable characters: Hellboy, Abe Sapien, Liz Sherman, and Lobster Johnson (voiced by Bruce Campbell). Herman von Klempt (voiced by Jürgen Prochnow), the Nazi head-in-a-jar who, unusually, is given a whole body in the video game, is the game’s major antagonist, along with other of his ‘kriegaffen.’ There is an online and offline multiplayer co-op for up to two players in the game. The game was designed by the comic book’s author, Mike Mignola, and the film’s director, Guillermo del Toro. From the film, Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, and Doug Jones reprise their roles as Hellboy, Liz Sherman, and Abe Sapien and provide full voice-overs.
