In 2054, the world is in chaos as global warming finally takes its toll: the ice caps quickly melt, causing massive cataclysms and the disappearance of entire nations under the sea. The near-apocalyptic setting and rapidly depleting resources of the remaining dry lands drive nations into constant war, eventually culminating in World War III; all United Nations efforts to end hostilities are thwarted by a seemingly endless supply of technologically advanced weaponry sold to each side of every conflict. Following an investigation, the source is traced back to EVAC Industry Co. Ltd, an arms dealer who has been reaping tremendously high profits from the situation, at times directly intervening to fuel the hostilities with utter disregard for human lives; any attempt to negotiate with the board of directors has utterly failed, the earnings having proven high enough for the company to build its cities, shipyards, defensive emplacements, and even a private airport, to the chagrin of the Because the UN is unable to officially enter the fray, it sets up a strike team of four pilots, each pair given one of two advanced helicopters: the plan is to simulate a rebellion within EVAC forces and bring down the company’s headquarters, where research on a series of tremendous warmachines is taking place; as a result, the planes both bear EVAC insignia and callsigns and are built according to stolen prototype blueprints – by no means, in success or failure However, for all of this secrecy to be effective, even victories will necessitate the destruction of the assault choppers… and the pilots’ deaths. To make up for their sacrifice, the UN will grant one of their wishes, whatever it may be. And so the story begins, on board a stolen EVAC carrier plane…
