L.A. Noire is set in 1947 Los Angeles and challenges the player to solve various cases across five departments while assuming the role of a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detective. Players must search crime scenes for clues, follow up on leads, and question suspects, and their success in these activities determines how much of the cases’ stories are revealed.
