Madagascar Kartz is a racing game based on the film Madagascar by DreamWorks Animation. It was the second game in Madagascar’s spin-off series, released on October 27, 2009. Gameplay[edit] The game is a basic kart racing game in which the player can do jumps, flips, and rolls. [1] There are numerous stages in the franchise’s scenes. Characters include Alex, Marty, Gloria, Melman, King Julien, Mason, Phil, and all four penguins. The Madagascar Kartz Wheel comes with the game’s Wii version. This wheel is not required. The appearance of this wheel differs from that of the Wii Wheel from Mario Kart Wii.  Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippotamus, The Penguins, The Chimps, and King Julien from Madagascar are all playable characters. Along with Madagascar, two other DreamWorks Animation franchises are represented: Shrek from Shrek and B.O.B. from Monsters vs. Aliens. Quick Race, Championship, Time Trial, and Checkpoint Race are all race types. A Championship race is one in which the player collects mangoes and attempts to finish first to unlock faster classes (50cc, 100cc, 150cc, 200cc, the last of which is raced in reverse direction/mirror mode), more karts, and tracks. Time Trial allows players to beat their times and earn medals (gold, silver, and bronze). Players in Checkpoint Race must collect as many hourglasses as possible before time runs out. The game includes several tracks. In addition, most tracks have two shortcuts. The menu theme is “I Like to Move It,” sung by Reel 2 Real. The gameplay is similar to that of Nintendo’s Mario Kart Wii. Super Star Kartz is the sequel.
