Monster Hunter Portable 3rd is a PlayStation Portable game in the Monster Hunter franchise released in Japan on December 1, 2010. The game was released on PlayStation 3 as part of the PlayStation Portable Remaster series. The game introduces new regions, monsters, and a revised Felyne combat system. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd is not an expansion pack for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite or Monster Hunter Tri. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, on the other hand, is distinct from the rest of the series, and most of the game has been completely remade. However, it is also the third game in the Monster Hunter Portable series, succeeding Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. This version was initially released on the PlayStation 3 through a built-in emulator, but it now runs as a native PSP game.
