Rango: The Video Game was released by Paramount Digital Entertainment on March 1, 2011. It is based on the same-named film. The game is available for the PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and Nintendo DS. Behaviour Interactive designed it. Beans’ father witnesses a meteorite impact. The old soldier climbs the sandy hill, examines it, and is taken away in a flash of green light offscreen. Rango, the 17-year-old Western Chameleon from the film, enters the scene passed out 15 years later. He wakes up and walks into the Gas Can Saloon. Just as Slim walks in with pieces of the rock, Rango opens it and vaporizes him. He says Bad Bill was involved in the plotline of how he first saw the stones. He formed an unnatural alliance with the Jenkins cousins. Rango tracks Bill down at their hideout, the barbershop. Rango blows up the barber shop, allowing Bill to flee, but not before Rango steals one of the rocks.
