Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is an accurate third-person team-based shooter set in the dark and sinister Resident Evil universe. This setting provides a rich backdrop for the action and fosters a unique and exciting triple-threat battle scenario for the game modes. Zombies and Bio-Organic Weapons (B.O.W’s) are added to the mix as players compete against their opposing squad while dealing with this third unpredictable element that could only exist in the twisted Resident Evil universe. As a result, a completely new gameplay style emerges that deviates from the conventions of traditional third-person shooters. It’s September 1998, and the plot revolves around the doomed Raccoon City and the horrifying consequences of the deadly T-virus outbreak. Umbrella dispatches an elite team into Raccoon City to destroy all evidence of its involvement.
Meanwhile, the United States government has quarantined the city and sent its team of elite soldiers to investigate the mysterious outbreak. Rookie cops Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield are caught up in action. Players assume the role of an Umbrella Security Service (U.S.S) Soldier and battle against all of Raccoon City’s competing forces. Choose from six characters, each with their skills, such as the female field scientist Four-Eyes, who can manipulate the T-virus and take control of the B.O.W’s raiding Raccoon City’s streets, or the weapons expert and U.S.S team captain Lupo.
