Rochard

The science fiction video game Rochard is played from a side-scrolling perspective, and the player assumes the character of the game’s title protagonist, John Rochard, an astrophysicist looking for his lost crew. He must utilize his gravity-manipulating G-Lifter equipment and his wits to solve challenging riddles and eliminate space pirates and other adversaries that stand in his path. During the game, Rochard will have to navigate across several different asteroids and space stations. The player starts the game with the G-Lifter as their lone weapon. While it initially only functions as a gravity gun, it will eventually be able to modify it to shoot at foes and toss various grenades. The adversaries are made up of simple-minded humans and the facilities’ built-in defense mechanisms, including turrets, robots, and force fields.
