SAW

The main character, Detective David Tapp, is found unconscious in an old, run-down asylum at the novel’s beginning. Jigsaw has been his adversary for a long time and has taken him captive. Tapp’s ambition of tracking down this serial killer has consumed him to the point of ruining his family. As a result, he has been divorced, and his mental health has deteriorated to the point where he has abandoned his family. Tapp’s career was derailed as he watched his long-time buddy and business partner fall victim to one of Jigsaw’s traps during this frantic search, which was the final straw. Jigsaw has gained the upper hand at this point and has taken the investigator hostage. Tapp is required to participate in a dangerous game, the likes of which he has been examining for years, to escape, and for him to do so, he must survive the difficult puzzles and traps that Jigsaw has set up for him and others. Yet, Tapp is linked to each victim in some sinister way. Will Tapp come to their rescue? Will his fixation with locating the Jigsaw murderer allow him to live?
