Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments

It is an investigation game in the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes series developed by Frogwares and published by Focus Home Interactive for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments can be played on any platform. The game takes place in London and its suburbs in the year 1894, towards the end of the 19th century; it is reminiscent of the Russian novel Crime and Punishment written by Fyodor Dostoyevsky and focuses on finding the correct perpetrator and making the ethical decision of whether or not to forgive or condemn them. The actual works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle served as the basis for this video game, which is the first in the series to use Unreal Engine 3 (UE3). The game’s narrative is structured similarly to that of Arthur Conan Doyle’s novels, with each of the game’s six cases involving a murder, a disappearance, or a theft.
