Shovel Knight

Shovel Knight is an action platformer video game released in 2014 by independent developer Yacht Club Games for the Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, and PC platforms. On June 26, 2014, the game was released worldwide. Shovel Knight, a former WayForward Technologies employee, was directed by Sean Velasco and featured music by Jake Kaufman and Manami Matsumae. Before the game, adventurers Shovel Knight and Shield Knight fought alongside each other as they traveled the world in search of treasure. When the two investigate the Tower of Fate, they succumb to the dark magic power of a cursed amulet. The Tower has been sealed, and Shield Knight is nowhere to be found when Shovel Knight reawakens. Shovel Knight abandons his adventures and withdraws to mourn his beloved. However, the Enchantress rises to power during his absence, spreading evil throughout the land. Shovel Knight picks up his shovel again after hearing that the Enchantress has unlocked the Tower of Fate, hoping to find and rescue Shield Knight. Shovel Knight must defeat the eight members of “The Order of No Quarter,” sent by the Enchantress to obstruct him.
