SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton’s Robotic Revenge

The popular animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants inspired the creation of the action-adventure computer game SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton’s Robotic Revenge. It was made available on the Wii U, the Wii, the Nintendo 3DS, the Nintendo DS, the PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360 in October 2013. Behavior Interactive was responsible for the game’s development, and Activision was to publish it. Activision is the company that took over the license from the previous SpongeBob SquarePants video game publisher THQ after that company declared bankruptcy and went out of business. This is also the first and only SpongeBob SquarePants game released for the PlayStation 3 and the Wii U up to this point. It is also the first SpongeBob SquarePants game rated E10+ by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).
