The BIGS is a baseball video game in the arcade style that emphasizes the actual gameplay more than it does the exemplary aspects of the game. This is demonstrated by power-ups and turbos when players are engaged in the game. There are 30 Major League Baseball teams, their respective stadiums, and player rosters. Controlling this game on the Wii is done by flipping the Wii remote and the Nunchuk. When you want to speed up, you may drum on the remote and the Nunchuk, and when you want to hit something, you can use the remote as a bat.
The BIGS features a mode called Rookie Challenge rather than the more common season mode seen in many other baseball simulations. In this game, the user constructs a ballplayer and aims to lead him and his team to the World Series. Another option is Home Run Pinball, which places the player in the heart of Times Square in New York City to hit balls through the neon signs and windows.
