Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is a downloadable game for the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live Arcade. It is an all-new skateboarding experience that recreates the best aspects of the original THPS games by modernizing those aspects and giving them a fresh new look. The gameplay returns to controllers and emphasizes the gratification of chaining together nasty feats for maximum points, which taps into the muscle memories of longtime fans. The game has a cutting-edge and timeless feel since it combines impressive visuals with the best controls ever seen in a Tony Hawk game. Robomodo was responsible for the game’s reconstruction and polishing, and they used Neversoft’s original code. The game features the top seven levels from THPS and THPS2, respectively (Warehouse, School 2, Mall, Phoenix, Hangar, Marseilles, and Venice). A mix of new-school and old-school pros (including Nyjah Huston, Chris Cole, Eric Koston, Andrew Reynolds, Rodney Mullen, Lyn-z Adams Hawkins Pastrana, Riley Hawk, and Tony Hawk himself) are included in the game. At the same time, the soundtrack features a mixture of both classic THPS songs and newer tracks. The action is rounded up with a variety of online multiplayer game options!
