Import Tuner Challenge is the latest installment in the long-running Tokyo Xtreme Racer Series (1, 2, 0, 3). The gameplay is nearly identical, with improved visuals and HD 720p support. Players race on Tokyo’s roadways. Cars are bought and modified with parts that affect the vehicle’s handling, look, and power. Cars are primarily Japanese or imported for the US market. Body kits, nitrous, neon lights, interior gauges, roll cages, seats, dangly things for your rearview mirror, and many more performance-boosting improvements from suspension, engine, gearbox, and other powertrain changes are examples of vehicle customizations. The courses and places you drive and race on are based on real-world locales, and other competitors may be located on the courses and at rest stop sites across Tokyo. Certain competitors want specific upgrades to your car, your vehicle to be arranged in a certain way, or your garage or bank account to be at a certain point before thinking you are worthy of a challenge.
