The racing video game Need for Speed is reverting to its arcade roots, and this can only mean one thing: high-speed automobile chases with obscenely costly supercars. Although Hot Pursuit does not make any promises to be the most realistic racing game available, even when compared to other games in the series, its primary objective is to provide players with the most enjoyable experience possible. You can play as racers or police officers in this game; nevertheless, both teams have access to compelling vehicles and various power-ups to help them win. If you’re a police officer, it’s your responsibility to track down your suspects by whatever means necessary, and that may include setting up obstacles. If you play the game as a racer, you will often be in a slower car than your pursuer; however, you will not be bound to any of their restrictions and will receive your intense power-ups, such as the radar jammer.
