Rayman Raving Rabbids, also known in French as Rayman contre les Lapins Crétins (literally, “Rayman against the Moronic Rabbits”), is a Rayman spinoff that Ubisoft released as a Wii launch title. There are 75 minigames in the game. The game was intended primarily for the Wii Remote, although it is also available on the Game Boy Advance, PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, and Xbox 360. The game was slated for release on the PlayStation 3 and PSP but was subsequently canceled for unexplained reasons, leaving it as the sole game in the series to be published on the PlayStation 2. Ubisoft released Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party in November 2007 and November 2008, respectively. Rabbids Go Home, the fourth game in the series, was published in 2009, although exclusively on the Wii and DS consoles, while Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time, the fifth game, was released in 2010. A sixth game, Raving Rabbids: Alive & Kicking, was published in 2011 exclusively for Xbox 360 (which needs Kinect), while a seventh game, Rabbids Land, was released in November 2012 as a Wii U exclusive title. The series had sold over 14 million units globally as of April 2014.
