Rockstar Games is pleased to present Table Tennis, a simulation video game that Rockstar Games and Rockstar San Diego both developed. The game was launched for the Xbox 360 for the first time on May 23, 2006, in North America and on May 26, 2006, in Europe. It was later published on the Wii in North America on October 17, 2007, and in Europe on October 19, 2007. The game is a realistic recreation of table tennis, with the primary goal of making the opponent miss the ball. The game includes various serving and returning tactics to help players beat their opponents. Players can fight against the game’s artificial intelligence, while the multiplayer option allows two players to engage in local or online bouts. The game was initially designed for the Xbox 360 platform, and the production team used the technology’s graphics capacity, allowing the game to play quicker than with earlier hardware. The game was the first to employ Rockstar’s proprietary Rockstar Advanced Game Engine, which was later used in Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption. Due to its drastically different approach from Rockstar’s past ventures, it’s unveiling in March 2006 caused uncertainty and astonishment. When released, it mainly garnered good reviews, praising its simplicity, replayability, and detailed graphics.
