Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games

The Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games video game was developed by SEGA of Japan under the direction of Shigeru Miyamoto. The game will take players to lifelike Olympic venues where they can choose from a legendary cast of playable characters, including newcomers to the series who will be introduced later this year. Shigeru Miyamoto oversaw the development of the game.

This fresh gameplay experience will feature totally fresh Olympic Winter Games events from the actual tournament timetable including Alpine Skiing and Speed Skating, with more events being announced over the coming months. Following the spectacular international popularity of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, which has sold over 10 million copies worldwide, this new gaming experience will feature entirely new Olympic Winter Games events.
