Over 3.5 million units have been sold globally since the Sakura Wars franchise debuted in 1995.

Sakura Wars has enjoyed success in several mediums besides video games, including stage productions, anime series, and printed publications. The location of this game shifts from Japan to New York, introducing a completely new group of people. Along with a few novel elements to improve game play, the series norms are still relevant and intact. It belongs to the Sakura Wars series but is completely different.

Shinjiro Taiga, a young Navy Lieutenant and the nephew of the protagonist from the previous four games, is the game’s primary character. As Shinjiro lands in 1928 New York, the narrative starts.

Some new features have been added to Sakura Wars V: So Long, My Love’s gameplay. You can fight in air combat in addition to ground combat (ARMS: Active & Real-time Machine System). To improve the experience of battling in the air, the STARs change from their robotic form into air fighters’ form while being in aerial combat mode.

Characters in the Adventure sections of the game have been converted to 3D, and the globe area has been expanded so that you can freely roam New York City. The well-established LIPS (Live & Interactive Picture System) now has innovative features, and new LIPS-based game modes further enhance the experience.
