The excitement of the audience has fuelled Sam & Max’s voyage to the Wii gaming system. Fans started an email campaign pleading for a Wii version of the episodic series just before its PC premiere. Online rumors and widespread speculation drove publisher and developer interest in the game. Since Telltale is now concentrating on platform development in addition to PC, the firm may finally satisfy this fervent demand by releasing Sam & Max on Wii.
In the Sam & Max episodes, players control the Freelance Police as they solve a variety of strange—and frequently hilarious—mysteries. Sam & Max Season One has already had a ton of success, both as a retail product and as an episodic series that can be downloaded through Telltale’s website and other platforms. Adventure Game of the Year from GameSpy and IGN, as well as inclusion on the Games for Windows Top 10 Games list for 2007, are among the accolades.
