Players in the video game Aliens: Colonial Marines take on the role of a squad of American Colonial Marines who must get ready to fend off an aggressive and horrifying alien invasion.
Aliens: Colonial Marines will maintain the atmospheric look and feel of the original films while utilizing next-generation technology to create a completely new interactive Aliens experience, driven by a fascinating and original story written by acclaimed authors Bradley Thompson and David Weddle.
Players will take on the role of an elite United States Colonial Marine while carrying iconic Aliens weapons like pulse rifles and flamethrowers as well as brand-new gear and abilities in a squad-based combat system. Players will engage in combat against menacing alien hordes in stunningly detailed levels that include the stark interiors of the abandoned Sulaco and special environments made especially for the game. The game also features claustrophobic environments, a brooding soundtrack, and a variety of surprises and shocks.
A story-driven single-player mode and a brand-new four-player co-op mode for Aliens: Colonial Marines will allow gamers to experience the terrifying game with three buddies. Each participant in the co-op mode will take on the identity of a Colonial Marine and contribute in a unique way to the accomplishment of each mission. Later on in the year, more multiplayer modes will be unveiled, completing the Aliens video game experience.
