The narrative occurs in December 2034.
Due to the effects of global warming, there is a worldwide increase in sickness and natural disasters. The Midwest’s small town of Silver City is immediately impacted, primarily as a result of a comet that has collided with the city. As one of Silver’s victims, Lana, begins to feel better, she sees the beginning of a brand-new form of mayhem. Death, destruction, and violent outbursts: it appears as though the world she once knew has descended into hell.
People she used to know are now a part of a crazed, voracious horde that is reportedly being consumed by a mysterious illness. She rushes despite her injuries because she has to get out of this nightmare. Lana is aware that the viral process has started inside of her, but she chooses not to join them. She is forced to make decisions that will have an impact on both of their lives by the appearance of the titular Amy, an eight-year-old autistic child with unusual powers who appears to be helpless. Together, they must battle or flee from infected people, demons, and the military in the hopes of protecting not only one another but also humanity’s future.
