Anarchy Reigns is a third-person brawler fighting game in which players select one of sixteen available combatants to battle it out in expansive arenas. Players can choose from a total of eight different fighting styles. Every playable character has a unique set of weak and strong attacks with their signature weapon, a distinct fighting style, various throws, and numerous actions that may be combined. They also have access to a move that clears the area around them, and many of their actions are highly violent and go above the norm in terms of their intensity. It is possible to focus on a single character while engaging in evasive maneuvers simultaneously. During the battle, you can charge up a rampage mode and earn bonus goods like shields and rocket launchers. In addition, you can charge up the rampage mode. The game uses a system called Action Trigger Events, or A.T.E., in which certain events in the game’s environs can be triggered to affect the fight. Accidents involving aircraft, black holes, or bombing raids are some examples of this. Following a new global conflict, the game’s narrative depicts the earth as a desolate wasteland filled with monstrosities, cyborgs, and mutants.
The emphasis is mainly placed on the game’s multiplayer component, which features up to sixteen players concurrently engaging in several game modes such as Battle Royale, Capture the Flag, Death Ball, Death Match, Survival, and Tag Team. Additionally, there is a single-player narrative that, for the most part, utilizes the same assets as the multiplayer areas. It is divided into two parts: one is for Jack Cayman, the protagonist from MadWorld who wields the Gator Tooth double chainsaw, and the other is for Leonhardt “Leo” Victorino, a new character who is an agent of the Bureau’s Strike One team and wields positron blades that can be charged. Jack Cayman is the one who uses the Gator Tooth double chainsaw. There are several hub regions in the single-player part of the game, and each of these areas contains a set number of foes that must be defeated before moving on to further missions. There are points in both campaigns where they overlap with one another. Jack and Leo are adversaries, but they share the goal of tracking down Maximillian Caxton, the person they believe is responsible for the death of Jack’s daughter. The Red one will become available after completing the first four levels of both the White and Black campaigns.
The characters Big Bull (a cyborg with a human brain), Blacker Baron, Mathilda (who utilizes her Iron Maiden spiked club), and Rin Rin (who uses the Yanlong swords) all make their way back from MadWorld. In addition to Leo, new characters include Ai Rin (with the Huanglong lightning nunchucks), Douglas Williamsburg (with twin pile bunkers), Durga (a cyborg bounty hunter who uses martial arts and a revolver cannon attached to his leg), Edgar Oinkie (can turn into a reptile), Fei Rin (with the ice trident Zilong), Garuda (as a mech who can transform into a jet plane), Maximillian Ca.
