Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk

The unique alchemy system is what sets Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk apart from other modern JRPGs, which often take a more combat-focused approach than Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk does. This mechanic incentivizes you to go to new and far-flung areas, where you will have the opportunity to experiment with a wide variety of approaches to the creation of potions and other items. This is a delightful journey, although it is let down by some rather dull gameplay, frame rate issues, and voice dub flaws. It is complemented by a gorgeous watercolor and cel-shaded art style, and it is veiled in an aura of innocence.
