Eddie Riggs is the world’s greatest roadie. When Eddie’s belt buckle is stained with blood due to an accident on stage, he is whisked away to a legendary era in the history of heavy metal. In this place, Eddie will have to battle past the armies of the demon Emperor Doviculus to save humanity.
The universe of Brutal Legend is a free-roaming environment inspired by heavy metal album covers. The primary form of transportation around the globe is Eddie’s car, known as “The Deuce” (also known as “The Druid Plow”). Most of the fight consists of straightforward hacking and slashing, with Eddie switching between his axe and his guitar, Clementine, as weapons. As channeled via Eddie’s guitar, the power of rock can call forth his automobile, melt the faces of his enemies, and even raise ancient monuments that the Titans left behind. A significant portion of the primary objectives, in addition to the multiplayer mode, include aspects of real-time strategy. During these tasks, there will be fan-geysers on the battlefield that, to harvest them, you will need to call upon goods booths. Fans are used up to generate units that can be controlled and even double-teamed for deadly effects, and these units are created by spending money. Most of these quests have the same overarching objective: to wipe out the adversary’s stage before they do the same to yours.
Eddie’s driving skills and fighting abilities can be improved by speaking with The Guardian of Metal, located at the center of the planet. Upgrades can be purchased with Fire Tributes, which can be earned through completing main and side tasks and searching the environment for various trinkets hidden across the world.
