The main game in the first-person shooter series is called Crysis 3, and it is the third installment overall. The player assumes the position of Laurence “Prophet” Barnes, a character who had appeared in the previous two games but, in this installment, takes on the role of the game’s protagonist for the first time. It takes place in 2047, 24 years after the events of the previous game, Crysis 2. Once more, the main character is outfitted with a nano suit, giving them impressive skills. Prophet makes a comeback due to his personality and memories from the nano suit being amalgamated with the body of Alcatraz, the protagonist from the prior game, replacing his consciousness. These are accomplished by inserting Prophet’s consciousness into Alcatraz’s body. The CELL network has covered the portion of Manhattan still standing with a massive dome to preserve what is left of the alien civilization. Prophet, accompanied by a group of elite warriors that includes his former partner, Psycho, moves around to various locales throughout seven chapters to find the Alpha Ceph, who is the head of the Ceph race. This story is broken up into chapters. As you progress through the game and acquire audio diaries, certain tale aspects will become more apparent.

The location combines urban landscapes with overgrown vegetation reminiscent of a rainforest. The bow is one of the primary weapons appearing in the game. It can kill enemies with a single shot and may be fired even when Prophet is veiled. There is a selection of arrows available in a variety of styles. This way, sneaking and being stealthy can play an optional part significantly more significant than in the prior games. The enemy cast includes human and extraterrestrial beings, and yes, you can still use your standard arsenal. In addition to using your bare hands, you can also use various weapons, such as assault rifles, grenades, and exotic sorts. The player can customize the configuration of the nano suit, emphasizing, for example, a shroud or, instead, a powerful armor that can withstand significant damage or a speed mode that allows them to sprint and jump high. Configurations can be changed on the fly to react to new circumstances quickly. Gathering upgrade points, which may be used to increase the capabilities of the nano suit, requires achieving both primary and secondary objectives. The statistics of a weapon, such as its accuracy, rate of fire, mobility, damage, range, and stability, can be modified by adding a variety of improvements, which are likewise modifiable. A tactical visor is invaluable when surveying an area or searching for concealed weapons and ammunition. Additionally, it can be used to identify opponents by their heat signature and tag them. There is also a hacking-themed minigame included in the package.

The following game types are available in the multiplayer component of the game: (maximum) deathmatch, (whole) team deathmatch, crash site / spears, extraction / capture the relay, hunter, assault, medley, CELL vs. Rebel, and developer’s choice. In multiplayer, players make great use of the nano suit and all of its features. However, certain game types only emphasize the bow as the game’s primary weapon. As players progress through the story and level their character, they can unlock new forms of content, including new weapons and abilities. This feature is common in many modern video games. Even though there is a shroud option in multiplayer, the player’s general outline can still be seen. In addition, teammates are represented by the color blue, while adversaries are represented by the color red.
