The rhythm video game DJ Hero was followed by the sequel DJ Hero 2, which features the same faux instruments. The player must match the rhythm of the music by “scratching” the song and, while checking the on-screen prompts, score as many points as possible using either a conventional console controller or the turnstile accessory built specifically for the DJ Hero games. To do this, the player must score as many points as possible.
A new soundtrack, with music by Lady Gaga, the Chemical Brothers, Dr. Dre, and the Prodigy, as well as the better graphics that are par for the course in sequels, can be found in DJ Hero 2, which is quite similar to the sequels to the Guitar Hero games. In addition, DJ Hero 2 includes a new game mode known as Empire. This mode is essentially the single-player career mode. Players take control of their burgeoning DJ character and help them navigate the game’s challenges while also helping them DJ their way to the top. Additionally, the player can give their character their very own nightclub in significant locations such as London and Berlin, which they may then use to tour in and advertise, thereby enhancing the player’s fame.
The multiplayer mode begins very similarly to how any other rhythm game would. Still, DJ Hero 2 introduces a new rewind feature that allows players to go back during multiplayer matches and remedy any mistakes they may have made. However, the rewind ability is only granted to the player if they have accomplished enough to merit it, and it is only available for a limited time. In addition to the traditional head-to-head format, DJ Hero 2 has a new feature that allows another player to take control of the vocals of a track. This player is then challenged to replicate the pitch and timing of the original vocalist as closely as they can.
