Madagascar 3: The Video Game

On June 5, 2012, a movie-inspired video game, Madagascar 3: The Video Game, was made available for purchase. The game allows players to assume the roles of Alex, Marty, Melman, and Gloria as they travel across Europe to promote the circus by fulfilling missions, performing in the chaos, and doing stunts. It was available on the Wii, the Nintendo 3DS, the Nintendo DS, the Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 3. Monkey Bar Games produced the Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 versions and Torus Games developed the DS and 3DS versions. D3 Publisher published all of these versions. The game was met with disapproval from reviewers, and Metacritic assigned it a score of 45 out of 100 for the Xbox 360 edition. On June 4, 2012, a mobile video game titled Madagascar: Join the Circus! Became available for download on both the iPhone and the iPad. Players can construct a circus and compete in several minigames while playing this game.
