20XX. There has been an outbreak of a virus known as Roboenza, which has rendered robots worthless. The human race would be completely powerless if it did not have the assistance of its robot assistants, yet, the worst is to come. The second phase of the disease prompts the afflicted robots to rebel against their human enslavers and attempt to take control of the world. Dr. Wily asserts that he has constructed a medication manufacturing machine to combat the disease, but the crazed robots have taken it. To rescue the machine and restore the world, Mega Man will have to battle against eight hostile robots.
Mega Man 10’s visual aesthetic and gameplay are very similar to those of its predecessor, Mega Man 9, as well as those of the classic NES games. The player must again go through eight stages with robotic foes by jumping, running, and shooting their way through them. At the end of each step, they must eliminate the Robot Master and steal his weapon against subsequent foes.
Even though Mega Man still can’t slide or charge his weapon like he was able to in Mega Man 3 and 4, respectively, you have the option to play as Proto Man, who possesses all of these skills as well as his characteristic shield to block projectiles. However, Proto Man receives twice as much damage from opponent strikes than Mega Man. The downloadable content will include Bass as a playable character, and he can aim his rifle at angles of 45 degrees.
This game, like Mega Man 9, includes a Time Attack mode and Challenges, in which the player must race against the clock or win the game under specified circumstances, such as never dying or beating all of the bosses using only the regular Mega Buster weapon. Challenges can also be unlocked by completing Time Attack mode. In addition, the game features standalone Challenge Rooms, in which the player is tasked with assembling a room while adhering to specific requirements presented at the outset of the challenge.
