The developers of the popular side-scrolling action game Dragon’s Crown, ATLUS and Vanillaware, have announced the debut of a new actual HD project that aims to reproduce and perfect the PS2 classic Odin Sphere, a 2D action RPG with Norse Mythology roots. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir expresses the original game with stunning high-definition graphics in Vanillaware’s signature style. The game is told in five stories, each told from the point of view of a different protagonist. On Erion’s landmass, Valentine’s nation possessed the most significant amount of political and military might. Its population flourished thanks to the magical power of the Crystallization Cauldron, but all of that was taken away during one fatal night. Because of this, a fight has broken out over the Cauldron, which is now without a ruler and involves all of the nations of the land. The conflict is becoming more fierce by the day. According to Prophecy, is the End drawing near? HD Art Upgrade: Odin Sphere is remade at 1080p and 60 frames per second, making the already colorful imagery even more so and the already stunning imagery even more so.
