Rage

Id Software is responsible for creating the first-person shooter video game Rage. It runs on the id Tech 5 game engine that the company developed. The game was initially displayed as a technical demo on June 11, 2007, during the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), and it was formally announced on August 2, 2007, during QuakeCon. The game was eventually released in October 2011. GameTrailers published a gameplay video for the game on the same day it was made available. The events of the game take place in a near future that has been rendered post-apocalyptic due to the collision of the asteroid 99942 Apophis on Earth. It has been said that the game is comparable to the film Mad Max 2 and other video games like Fallout and Borderlands. Games such as MotorStorm and Burnout have been influential in shaping the gameplay of the racing and driving aspects of the game.
