2084, Neo-Paris. Memories can now be digitized, purchased, sold, and traded. The last vestiges of privacy and intimacy have been swept away in what appears to be a logical progression of social network growth at the turn of the century. Citizens have accepted this surveillance society for the convenience only intelligent technology can provide. This memory economy gives a small group of people enormous power over society. Remember Me is a third-person action-adventure in which players play as Nilin, a former elite memory hunter who can break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. Fearing her knowledge and skills, the authorities arrested Nilin and erased her memory. Following her escape from prison, Nilin embarks on a mission to reclaim her identity, aided by her one and only friend. This search for her past leads her to be pursued by the people who created this surveillance society.
