SingStar Guitar

SingStar: Guitar is a karaoke game that adds the ability to play a plastic guitar to the music. The game is called SingStar: Guitar. The gameplay remains the same despite the addition of the karaoke mode; players perform their songs into a microphone, and the game awards points based on how well they sing. The only criterion for evaluation is whether or not the right note is struck at the proper time; the octave or the words being sung have no bearing on the outcome. The guitar element functions analogous to the Guitar Hero series in that the game indicates to the player which buttons to press on the guitar. The number of points earned is proportional to whether or not the appropriate button was pressed at the right moment.
