Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell HD Trilogy

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell is a series of award-winning stealth video games and tie-in novels created by Tom Clancy. Sam Fisher, the protagonist, is a highly trained agent of the NSA’s fictional black-ops division known as the “Third Echelon.” The player controls Fisher as he battles his opponents in levels (created with Unreal Engine) that have been expanded to emphasize light and darkness as gameplay elements. The series’ console and PC games have all received critical acclaim, and it has been commercially successful. The series and Assassin’s Creed are regarded as one of Ubisoft’s flagship franchises, with over 31 million copies sold as of 2011.
