Watchmen: The End Is Nigh

The comic book Watchmen, which Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons wrote, was adapted into a movie in 2009, and the video game series Watchmen: The End Is Near is a precursor to that movie. The game is an episodic video game series. It was previously announced that the game would be distributed as downloadable installments for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade. The first installment was made available for download on March 4, 2009, to coincide with the film’s opening in theaters. On July 30, 2009, the second episode was made available to the public. On July 21, 2009, both attacks were simultaneously made available for purchase on disc for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A limited edition of the PlayStation 3 version was released under the moniker “The Entire Experience.” Together with the standard version of the movie on Blu-ray, this edition also contained the more extended Director’s Cut version.
