The official Olympic video game of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London is London 2012: The Official Video Game. It was Sega’s first internally developed Olympics game, and Sega Studios Australia produced it. It is also the second official video game based on the Olympics, following Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The game has an online option for those who want to compete against other challengers worldwide. The “national pride” ranking system is an online rating system where gamers may gather medals for their preferred country. Specific activities in party mode are compatible with the PlayStation Move and Xbox Kinect. London 2012 is the first Olympic video game in local multiplayer mode with cooperative events.
