Spider-Man: Friend or Foe is a computer game based on the Spider-Man comic book franchise and films. The game debuted on October 2, 2007. Spider-Man: Friend or Foe was first mentioned on the back of the Spider-Man 3 video game instruction guide on a promotional page. The teaser said the game would feature “a new twist on the legend.” “A fresh look at the movies.” The game’s website features screenshots, including one of the Green Goblins. The game’s engine and style are vastly different compared to prior official film tie-ins. According to the corporate report, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe is a new take on the media property. This action/adventure beat them up game humorously reinterprets big-screen scenes and confrontations from the Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, and Spider-Man 3 films. Players join forces with well-known Marvel Comics characters to take on villains and then convert them to sidekicks after defeating them in dramatic boss battles. The game contains a co-op multiplayer option in which you may play as Spider-Man or a sidekick in locales worldwide, including Tokyo, Egypt, and Nepal. On January 1, 2014, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe and most other Activision games that exploited the Marvel license were de-listed and deleted from all digital marketplaces.
