Puyo Pop Fever

The fifth chapter in the famous Puyo Puyo puzzle game series is Puyo Pop Fever. The fundamental game concepts are similar to Puyo Puyo: the player has a 6×12 board to put incoming groupings of various colored blobs or Puyo. Any groupings of four or more of the same colored neighboring puyo will pop after each pair of puyo is placed. Any of those above will fall and create new groups, resulting in a chain reaction. When groups of Puyo pop, the player scores points while also sending trash (aka waste and annoyance) to their opponent. These garbage puyos are colorless and will only pop when puyos nearby do so, rather than in groups as is usual. When a person’s board is complete because they cannot form groups or are sent a significant amount of garbage (typically the latter), they lose, and the other player wins.
