Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception

Skies of Deception is the PSP’s second entry in the action flight series. The player controls the Gryphus Squadron, one of the last to remain for Aurelia, a nation on the southern edge of the Ocean Continent with a single airbase. In 2020, the neighboring country of Leasath, led by Diego Gaspar Navarro, attacked Aurelia. They invaded because Aurelia was allegedly aiding their adversaries in the civil war. There are numerous crafts with various paint schemes and multiple battle missions to attend. Players can unlock parts to tune their planes in the campaign mode (which, as usual, has multiple paths to completion). Money can be obtained by defeating enemies and completing objectives. There are 17 missions, but the fastest route in campaign mode can be completed in 10 minutes. There is a new multiplayer mode in which up to four players can participate in a cooperative (2 players against two AI-controlled fighters) or versus mode with various game types such as Dogfight-Survival, Dog Fight-Shoot Out, Base Attack, Air Superiority, Beacon Battle, and Escort Mission.
