Players take on the role of Beowulf, the mythical Norse warrior who possessed the combined strength of thirty men and was torn between his nature’s noble and ruthless sides. Beowulf, who is arrogant, self-serving, and eager for riches and fame, travels to Denmark to destroy a savage beast that is wreaking havoc on a bitterly cold land. But evil endures, and eventually, Beowulf gives in to its allure of even greater fame and begins to plot his ascension to the throne of Denmark secretly. In his role as King, Beowulf is forced to deal with the repercussions of his ambition, even as war spreads across the kingdom.
