The protagonist overhears a voice calling out to her when she is at a modest shrine in a sleepy village in the countryside. The voice tells her, “The time has come to fulfill our thousand-year promise.” She passes out, and when she comes to, she discovers that she is transforming into a god… The beginnings of a love tale, complete with warmth, kindness, and even despair, are revealed.
