There is a disturbance in the Human Kingdom, the Realm of Heaven, the Realm of Demons, the Faerie World, and the Realm of the Spirits of the Stars, which reside alongside modern Japan. The Human Kingdom resolved to crown a princess, and later a wise Queen, to assist soothe each kingdom in a display of good faith and an endeavor to keep peace and balance in the world. However, the applicants for the position of Princess were suddenly slain one by one. Thus, Cube, a butler and keeper of one of such candidates, whisked her away from this world, wiped all memories of her dead family, and set fire to her home to avoid the fate of the more unfortunate princesses. The player is a retired hero from the Human Kingdom who has fled to a strange land to prevent their past. However, when Cube chooses the player to be the girl’s parent, the player is powerless to refuse. The stipulations are that after eight years, only the girl can decide whether to pursue happiness in this world or, if she discovers her past, return to the parallel worlds to take her reign.
