R-Type Command

After losing waves upon waves of enemy fighters in Bydo territory, Earth dispatched a lone commander to lead a small armada into the heart of the Bydo Empire to end the war. R-Type Command is a turn-based strategy remake of the R-Type series’ side-scrolling shooter. This version retains the side-scrolling view but moves using a hexagonal grid. Players can access over 100 units and numerous weapons to unlock and use against enemy ships. Following each mission, upgrades, weapons, and vessels are available for purchase and use in subsequent tasks. Players can now choose which grid to attack and which ship and weapons to use. At the end of each level, the player will engage in massive boss battles using all their ships and weapons. In the assault on Earth, players can not only play as Earth Forces but also as Bydos. There are also online capabilities via Ad-Hoc, which allow human opponents to go head-to-head in battle.
