Ragnarok Tactics

The Branshaldo Empire and the Aura Republic engaged in an extended war for control of the Grantria Peninsula many centuries after the legendary Holy War that forced humanity to erect a magical barrier to keep both gods and demons from overrunning their world. Because neither nation had the resources to continue fighting, the conflict eventually halted, and an uneasy truce was reached. Even so, the animosity between the two parties lingered beneath the surface, threatening to erupt into flames. The peninsula’s people resumed their everyday lives in the resulting tenuous peace, constantly aware that the war could continue at any time.
