I do not remember anything about the events leading up to my awakening in a hospital bed during the summertime. I was suffering from severe amnesia, and my friends and Yuki, my maid, were the ones who saved me as I shivered with doubt and anxiety throughout the night. Because of their generosity, I could start over with my life. On the other hand, the nightmare that had been troubling me ever since I had woken up on that day continued to be a source of anguish for me. In my dreams, a woman with flawless white skin and jet-black hair shone so brightly that it seemed to disappear into the gloom of the night. And within a few weeks, on the night of the Star Festival, I would meet this beautiful girl: Makino Nanami. She was the girl I slaughtered with my arrow every night.
